Barking Tag is a small engraving workshop in Norfolk with one focus: supplying highly durable, quality engraved identity tags.
One dog, many collars
Barking Tag started with our Staffy, her large number of collars, and the laser that we bought for other projects. Before long we were engraving dog tags for friends and family.
Those first tags were a hit. People loved the quality of the deep engraving, and the dog breed designs you simply cannot find on the high street. Word spread, and Barking Tag grew from there.
We keep our prices competitive because we want every dog to wear a tag — so that any lost dog can be quickly reunited with their humans. Every tag we make is built to do that one job, and to keep doing it for life.
Four things we never compromise
We only work in industrial-grade metals, chosen so a tag survives years of mud, sea water and rough play without fading. Our tags are thin and light, yet extremely hard wearing.
Every tag is deep-engraved by laser, not printed or scratched. The lettering is cut into the metal itself, so it stays readable for life.
Each order is carefully engraved to high standards and checked by hand in our Norfolk workshop before it is posted out to you.
We are dog people first. Every design decision starts with one question: would we be happy putting this on our own dogs' collars? PS - we love cats too!
Why order from a small workshop
When you order from Barking Tag you deal directly with the people making your tag. No call centres, no ticket queues — if you spot a mistake in your engraving details, tell us and we will try to amend it before engraving begins.
Custom projects, bulk orders for kennels, breeders, rescues and pet stores are all welcome. If it can be engraved, we want to hear about it.
